The road to the landscape conservation area Seiser Alm is closed to private traffic from 9.00am to 5.00pm. During this time you can get to the Seiser Alm by the Seiser Alm cable carr from Seis or by bus from Kastelruth.
The trail begins in Compatsch and passes the St. Franziskus Church and to the left of the road over vast Alpine meadows and a small wood to the Cross-Country Centre in Ritsch. For beginners, this trail alternates easy sections with stretches that are somewhat more demanding. Skiers with a degree of technical expertise use the trails as a link route to the more difficult trails which begin at the Cross-Country Centre in Ritsch. This trail was designed as a warm-up route.Also recommended in the opposite direction.
