Tracks triplet in the Tures-Aurina Valley
Ready for cross-country skiing
Welcome to your cross-country skiing holidays in Val di Tures e Aurina
Anybody who turns off from Brunico to the Aurina Valley, knows what he wants: in the most beautiful cul de sac in South Tyrol, 50 km of varied cross-country routes await you amidst the splendid scenery of 80 mountains of 3,000 m of height and more!
To be mentioned: starting from the right side of the main village Campo Tures in the idyllic village of Riva di Tures at an altitude of 1,500 m you'll find 4 different cross-country tracks. From 3 to 15 km with different levels of difficulty. The newly realised cross-country centre offers an all-round service with ski rental, ski school and showers.
The family village and village of the alpine huts of Rio Bianco at 1,300 m attracts people of all age groups. The main track is the varied circular track of 14 km with a difference in altitude of 110 metres. The starting point is located near the sports facility and is at the same time the starting point for sledging and winter hikes.
The three high-alpine tracks are characterised by impressive panoramic scenery. The last of the three tracks is located in Casere at the end of the valley. The start with a rather demanding 10 km track is located at the new information point of the Vedrette di Ries-Aurina Nature Park, where you also find a ski rental and service point. The shooting range for biathletes is suitable for competitions and training purposes.
A great advantage of the total of 45 km of high-alpine cross-country tracks in Casere, Rio Bianco and Riva di Tures is the snow-safety.
