Olympics 2026 in Antholz Valley. The Stadium Takes a Break, the trails Stay Open

February 2026 (06. - 22 February 2026) will be a milestone for the Antholz Valley: The Winter Olympics are coming to South Tyrol, and the biathlon stadium will host the world’s top athletes. But what does this mean for everyone who wants to explore the valley on cross-country skis?

Stadium closed – but the valley stays vibrant

From January 7 to early March 2026, the biathlon stadium will be closed due to the Olympic Games. But no worries: the valley trail (Talloipe) will remain perfectly groomed and publicly accessible – a true highlight for those who enjoy the peaceful side of winter.

How to reach the valley during the Olympics

  • ⚠️ Car access is only possible with a Car Pass. Guests will first get a transit ticket at the checkpoint at the valley entrance, then receive the full Car Pass directly from their accommodation.
  • 🚶‍♂️ Free movement within designated zones is always possible. Exiting the valley is unrestricted.
  • 🚌 Bus line 431 and the B & C shuttles are available free of charge and without limitations.

A different kind of winter experience – but just as real

Experiencing the Olympics up close while skiing through quiet forests – that’s what makes this winter unique. Our tip: stay off the beaten track, follow the peaceful trail, and embrace the stillness of winter – one stride at a time.

Good to know – Winter 2025/26

  • ❄️ The valley trail remains open and is included in your regular Dolomiti NordicSki pass.
  • 💸 Prices remain unchanged.
  • ♻️ Sustainability tip: Leave the car at home and use the bus or shuttle instead.
