GsieserTal Lauf
GSIESERTAL–WELSBERG–TAISTEN
The Granfondo Val Casies is considered one of the most popular and renowned cross-country ski marathons in the entire Alpine region. Since its foundation in 1984, this legendary sporting event has never been cancelled due to weather (exception: 2021 because of Covid). More than 76,000 finishers have already participated – with athletes from around 35 nations, including many World Champions and Olympic medalists.
In 2026 the race will take place alongside the Olympic Games in Milan-Cortina – a unique opportunity to be active in sport and at the same time experience Olympic competitions in the nearby Antholz Valley or in Cortina. The distances: 30 km and 42 km – Saturday classic technique, Sunday skating. Also popular is the “Just for Fun” group, without race pressure or timing. The supporting programme includes the MINI-Gsieser on Saturday.
